Martin, thank you for your class. It was amazing!!! I beat my goal of 650 and got a 670! A lot better than the 510 I started out with. Thank you again, I couldn't have done it with out you.
- Brian
Martin, you're the man. I took the test--640. Now, I am hoping that your sentence correction example "Kyle will get into Gtown" comes true! Of course, I am happy with the score regardless. Thanks a lot, and I hope things are going well for you.
- Kyle
Martin, sooo.... the good news is, I scored a 600, which was exactly what I was hoping to get, and the score was higher than ANY of my practice tests! Man, humming "Eye of the Tiger" on the way to the test really worked!!!
Seriously though, thanks for your really outstanding instruction, I know I couldn't have gotten that score without your help. When I started to get stressed during the test, I would try to mimic my relaxed, happy, but focused mental state that I always had in class when I was getting questions right. It was like having you and my Sherpa classmates with me, and it was reassuring. Thank you SO much for your help, Martin. The tutoring sessions kept me going when I was at a point of very low confidence, and your help pulled me through.
I hope you are well, and good luck with your own studies. Keep in touch, I would love to hear how you are doing. PS. Yeah, I really did hum "Eye of the Tiger" on the way to the test....
- Jen
I wanted to let you know that I took the GMAT on Saturday, and scored a 700. I wanted to thank you for your help (going from a 590 the first practice test I took to a 700). Jay, I hope all is well!
- Will
Jay, I just wanted to let you know that I took the test on Saturday and scored a 670. The course and your teaching were invaluable -- thank you very much again for everything.
- Ned
Hey Jay, I just finished my GMAT. Q41 - Yeah!! In my mind, best case score was 42. V41. Total 680. Thanks for everything. I've told a bunch of people about Sherpa!
- Jenn
Hi Jay! I had travel all this week but I wanted to touch base and let you know how my GMAT went! I am very satisfied with my scores!
Q 46 75%
V 31 58%
Total: 640
Didn't pull through on the verbal as well as I normally do, haha, but I managed to muscle through the math and score well enough to make up the difference. Thanks so much for all of your help! I really really like the Sherpa program and would definitely recommend it to friends.
- Jannette
I'm a second time GMAT'er, and I feel like I learned more in class 1 than I did the entire time I was studying for the GMAT last spring!
- Rina Gursahaney (currently attending Georgetown University)
Thank you so much for a fantastic class. I got MUCH more than I ever expected. My instructor was extremely knowledgeable and was always happy to answer questions by email and to stay late after class. The note packets were phenomenal. They were vastly superior to everything that I had ever found in a bookstore. They helped me master many of those difficult topics on which I was clueless. I’ve recommended the course to all my friends. I wish you guys the best of luck!
- Tim Indersmitten
I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed taking your class. You did a great job, not only explaining the material, but also motivating us to properly prepare for the test. I also really appreciate your availability to answer questions, especially via email. It's obvious you enjoy teaching and solving gmat problems, both of which you do well. I'm sure you already know all of this, but I just wanted to say thanks. I have been recommending the class to my friends.
- Daniela Yacaman
After bombing my first GMAT I began looking for prep classes to help. I was recommended to Sherpa by a friend and signed up so that my course would finish 2 weeks before my GMAT. The quality of the classes exceeded my expectations. Not only will you learn the overview of what skills you should know, you will look at the questions in depth, and also look at ways to properly solve them and all while managing your time efficiently. My instructors Jay and Nafeez helped me look at questions from a critical view and learn to properly digest what the GMAT is looking for. You success is guaranteed because if you don’t do well on the exam, you can even come back and take the courses again for free (but if you pay attention, I honestly doubt you will need to). To anybody about to take the GMAT, I strongly recommend Sherpa Prep.

I took the GMAT yesterday and got a 730!! I'm thrilled. The credit goes to you. It was by far the best investment I could have made. I will recommend your company to anyone I meet -- it was a phenomenal deal with incredible results. My instructor was patient yet firm, calm, focused, very knowledgeable, supportive, and excellent at conveying information in a way that was helpful for me. I give him and the class my highest recommendation. Thank you so much!
- Amelia Kaye
Get in while you still can. I took the GMAT Prep course through Sherpa, and Jay was my instructor. From a sheer economics standpoint -- the value you will get for what you pay is indisputable. From a teaching standpoint -- Jay can not only teach the material in his sleep, but he makes a concerted effort to figure out each individual student's learning style and to custom-tailor the material accordingly. On top of teaching relevant material, Jay has a humorous delivery that helps keep you awake in spite of the lengthy hours you must spend learning. Finally, the instructors at Sherpa demonstrated a genuine interest in and desire for student success. I cannot recommend Sherpa highly enough.

I was able to take the test yesterday in Baltimore (don't ask) and I got a 730! I am so happy. Thank you so much for all of your help, support, extra time both before and after class, jokes, etc, etc. Jay was an awesome instructor and I couldn't have done it without him. And it's a good thing you taught us that Pi equals 22/7 because that definitely came in handy during the test... Thank you again for everything and enjoy the holidays/break!
- Marielle Fillit
I took the GMAT on Friday and am very happy with my score. I ended up with a 690! Thank you so much for all of your help. I really don’t think that I could have gotten that score without your class. The note packets were great and I think studying them in detail really helped me. Thanks again!
- Annik Boger
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Sherpa Prep. I took the GMAT test prep classes in Arlington with Martin and Jay. There were only three students total in my class and two instructors! On top of that, Martin and Jay have both been teaching GMAT for years, are extremely fluent in GMAT 'speak' and were extremely accommodating. When I couldn't make a session, they made it very easy for me to make it up at another location. In addition, they always answered my emails and phone calls promptly. Oftentimes I felt like I was getting one on one instructions. Most importantly, at Sherpa Prep, they don't just teach how to take a test, they teach you the CONTENT of the test with extremely thorough and unique instruction. I was shocked at the value of the course--what felt like personalized instruction, more classroom time than any of the other courses and about half the price of the other courses.

Thanks to your help I scored well on my GMAT and just got accepted into GWU's school of business! I didn't even think I could get in when I applied. I only did so for the purpose of having closure and not left wondering what if. Your class is worth every dollar of that $800. If you ever need me for some sort of survey/testimonial I am more than happy to help. Just let me know.
- Chernoh Barrie
I just wanted you to know I scored a 730 (43 quant, 47 verbal). The first time I took the GMAT I scored a 560, so your course really helped me get there. I appreciate your efforts to meet outside of class, and your approach to dealing with the exam itself. Thanks again!
- Sean McDermott
My reason for emailing is to let you know that I took the test this past weekend. I got a f%^$*@% 600! Can that be real? I was telling my wife beforehand that I would have been devastated to get anything below a 450, and pleased as could be to clear 500. As you can imagine, I'm feeling pretty damn good right about now. I couldn't have done it with out you. I truly appreciate all the time and energy you put into my preparation. I'm your ambassador moving forward.
- Patrick Hillis
I got the 700 that I was looking for on the GMAT today! I really appreciate all the time and energy that you put into the class - I knew going in that your class would be heads and shoulders above the other review courses - you really came through - thanks again.
- James M. Rensen
I just wanted to thank you for all the help you gave me when I took your GMAT prep course. I never let you know how that turned out. I actually scored in the 94th percentile, and I am confident that I would not have been able to do this without the framework you provided for me for the GMAT. The level of [reasonable] difficulty and course work that you required for your class forced me to take an honest look at what I need to do to be successful. If you ever want to use me as "that guy" who was able to turn things around because of your course. I'll work for a very cheap fee, aka nothing.
- Eric Bailey
The class is absolutely the best out there. My instructor was Jay. He was extremely sharp but yet very down to earth and easy going. On top of that you can actually tell he likes teaching and is very knowledgeable about the entire MBA application process. I have highly recommended the program. It costs 1/3 of the price of the Kaplan one, but in reality it is much better. The only thing you are not getting is a fancy office or a lot of marketing.
- Ivo Djoubrailov
I feel like I just got beaten up and left for dead. I scored 48 Quantitative, 85th percentile, and 44 verbal, 97th percentile, for a scaled score of 740, 97th percentile. That is a hard test. After I finished the math I was not sure I had much left in me. Thank you again for all of your help. The class was tremendously helpful and I really appreciate what you do and the affordable price at which you do it. If you want me to be a reference or if there's anything else I can do to help please let me know.
- Rob Dapice (Georegtown)
Thanks for all of your help through this - Jay was one knowledgeable SOB!
- Kathryn Joachim
I just wanted to express to you how grateful I am for your course prep last fall. I just found out this week that I was accepted into Georgetown's MBA program!!! I'm so excited, and there's no way I could have done it without some awesome GMAT prep. You helped improve my score from the low 500s to 690! Thank you again!
- Chelsea Kanyer (currently attending Georgetown)
Good news! I got into John Hopkins Carey and UNC Kenan-Flagler! I'm pretty set on going to UNC, they have an awesome program in sustainable enterprise (renewable energy, microfinance ect) which is my interest. I'm extremely excited! Thanks again for all you support with the GMAT prep, and really encouraging me! I've recommended your course to a few other friends of mine considering MBA schools, cause it's simply the best.
- Sam Imende
I scored a 680 on the GMAT Saturday. Quantitative - 44, Verbal - 40. I was able to match my highest Math score from the practice tests and raise my highest verbal score 5 points. I probably took the test earlier than I should have, but I am pretty sure a 680 will put me in the thick of it for Georgetown and Smith. Thank you for all your help. I thought your class was excellent and I will definitely recommend it to anyone else considering taking the GMAT!
- Mike Garrity
Just wanted to report back that I've completed the exam and got a 710! 45 Quant, 41 Verbal. I'm very pleased with that result – I almost screamed when the score popped up in the testing room! Thanks for all your prodding and support. I certainly wouldn't have done this well without your class. Any of your favorite bars sell gift cards? Figure that might be more easily portable than that case of beer I was talking about on Saturday...
- Erika Deibert (Darden)
I wanted to say thank you again for all of your help during the class. You really went above and beyond what I expected and I am truly thankful for this. I am 100% confident that my score was higher than what I would have gotten without taking your class.
- Zac Cohen
I wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed your class. Jay has a quick wit, fabulous personality, amazing patience, and most of all really cares about his students. That above all else is evident.
- Amy Bean
Just thought I'd let you know that I took the GMAT on Monday and scored a 610. My score increased dramatically from the 460 or 490 on the first test that I took. I just thought I'd give you a heads-up and thanks A LOT for all of your assistance over the past couple of months. You've been great!
- Brenan Roper
I just finished and ended up scoring a 720 (47 on quant (78%) and 42 on verbal (95%)) - thank you SO much for all your help!!!
- Alli Rosen
I just thought I would sent you a quick email to let you know what I got on the GMAT. 640 overall with a 44 on math and 35 on verbal. I am unbelievably happy with these scores, and they're much higher than what I needed. So I just that I would let you know you did a great job! Thanks!
- Tim Tishman
I forgot to tell you thanks for a great course. I took the GMAT on the 30th and got a 750. I don't have breakdown in front of me but I think it was 46Q and 49V. I definitely did better on verbal, which was surprising. Anyways just wanted to say thanks.
- Sanjay Bhutiani
I scored a 720, which was my goal after I realized I couldn't commit the time needed to get a 750. I actually could have scored a little better had I not gotten distracted during one of my breaks (pretty girl) and showed up two and a half minutes late for the quantitative section. Thank you for your help and I will definitely send my friends your way should the MBA bug bite them in the future!
- Jason Shu
I took the test yesterday and scored a 680. I could not have done this well without your class. Thanks so much for all your efforts. I've been strongly recommending your class to my friends who are studying for it now.
- John Jacobson
I took the GMAT yesterday and scored a 670. Thanks for all of your help and guidance through the course. I found it extremely valuable. I have recommended your course to many of my friends who are studying for the GMAT. Again, thanks for everything! Have a great holiday!
- Amreeta Sekhon
Thanks so much for all your help. You are great and I will recommend this class to anyone!
- S. Davidson
You are the best!!!! (There’s no comparison to anything else out there). I've recommended your class to several folks I know!
- Ashley Fingarson
This is Gina - from your August/September GMAT class...I didn't get a chance to email you before I left for Europe - which was truly an unbelievable trip and totally worth it!! - but I just got back on Saturday and I wanted to let you know about my GMAT score. I got 6s on the essays again and i scored a 640. I kind of laughed at the score because it was the score that you thought I might get. My verbal went to the 86 percentile and my math went to the 74 percentile – much improved from the 38 percentile that I was in the first time. So that's all for now - just wanted to let you know where I stand and say thanks for your help. I am VERY relieved that it is over - those few weeks before going to Europe were too intense!! :-)
- Gina Gancheva
I wanted to let you know that I just retook my GMATs today and my score improved from a 590 to a 680. I am very happy with this score so I doubt that I will ever need to re-take them. I want to thank you for your help during back in the spring, it truly helped. I've recommended you to some friends for the GREs, so hopefully you'll be hearing from them in the near future. Thanks again and take care.
- Pat McIlwain
I got a 660!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!! Thanks for everything!
